Default Brake booster fail?

Hey,

My brakes got really hard to use lately and have very little stopping power when I press on the pedal very hard. I suspect something has gone wrong inside the brake booster. Is there any common known issues around this? Or easy to diagnose?

Brake a well serviced and callipers move freely etc.

Brake boosters do go bad sometimes. Try pulling the vacuum line and make sure you're getting vacuum through the check valve.

Yup...the boosters fail. Mine did. But first carefully check the vacuum line to the booster and the booster check valve on the booster itself.

Hope that helps.

Where is the check valve exactly?
