Brake choices
Hey guys I'm going to replace rotors and pads all around on my 04 SE7 and I'm thinking of using the OEM Pad/aftermarket rotor kit from British Atlantic.. I can upgrade to the OEM rotors but I'm wondering if its worth it? Everything on this truck is factory and I like the feel of the stock pads. OEM rotors worth the cost?
Thanks
Thanks
The Akebono pads are the best thing on the market for a D2, they stop better, no dust, no squeaking don't upset the ABS and last longer then most others.
Both e-bay and amazon have the pads for the best price,
EUR 676 pads for the front and EUR 493's for the rear.
They well on the solid rotors and better on the slotted and drilled.
Make sure to do a full 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush when done.

I just replace my front and back rotors with EBC OEM spec and Akebono pads for $315.00 total.
This place has probably the best prices I've seen.
DBA is not making them any more, but, British Parts of Utah as the next best slotted and drilled rotors they are made in the UK.
If you are not aware, slotted and drilled are better then the EBC because they actually vent the hot gases from between the brake pad and the rotor, dimples don't doo anything.

Thank you for the prompt response, Disco Mike!!
I know that DBA no longer makes them. I was merely asking if anyone knew the part numbers. You can still find them on various websites - most of which are overpriced now that DBA stopped making them - so I want to ensure that I order the correct rotors before cleaning out my wallet.
I will check out the British Parts of Utah rotors as well. <--- thanks for the back-up plan!

I run powerslot rotors and hawk pads. Noticeable difference, and have been very pleased with the rotor/pad combo on many cars- including Lexus LX 470, Lexus IS 300, Lexus GS 430. I've read of people running that setup on F-150/250 trucks and all manner of sports cars as well.
