Unhappy Brake help!!

rebuilt the caliper on the front drivers side of my 95 disco and now cant get the air out! I've bleed the master and the calipers and there is still an unbelievable amount of air in the system..and the calipers on that side wont compress..if I rigged a bottle of brake fluid and hooked it to the bleed screw and opened another one with a tube running to another jug of fluid and pumped it under pressure thru the system would that help? I'm about at my wits end here..what should have been a simple afternoon job has turned into a 3 day fiasco. anybody?

Do a complete 3 pint DOT 4 fluid exchange, after you remove the brake hose from that caliper to help you collapse the pistons.

What I've done is to use a hand vacum pump connected to the bleeder while someone refills the reservoir. Go around each bleeder without messing up at all with the brake pedal. Once you go thou two or three pints of brake fluid there should be no air at all left.

Did you coat the new seals with fuid? It is possible you have rolled a seal and are sucking air back into the caliper.

the pistons seem to be seated right. I know I messed up by breaking apart the caliper to replace the seals( first time doing it) could that have something to do with it? gonna do a complete fluid exchange tomorrow or next day. will keep posting on what I find out. And what I meant was the pistons will not extend on that side, not compress as I said in the first post
