I understand that 100%, but I also need to feed my kids, so if I can save $200 that I dont have, I'm going to do it.
That being said, I am friends with a small shop owner who will let me bring in my own parts and then pay him labor if there is something that I do not have time to do.
So he still makes money and I still save money because I can get parts cheaper than him.

I think Mienke quoated me $600 for the fronts only. That was parts and labor. Geesh! I did all 4 for less than $425 with DBA rotors and LR pads. There is definitely a mark up. Beating the rotors off from the back is the hardest part. Brakes are easy on a Rover. Not so much on a Honda Civic...run away as I learned from a friend.
