Default BRAKE light

While T/S my SES light I started my disco (to my surprise, see hard start) and my red BRAKE light was on. it flickered and went away. It is on now while I drive on flickers as I drive.
The truck has been parked for about a week or so while I was tied up with work so I am not sure what would be causing this. The manual says if it stays illuminated seek mech assist.
Thanks

Have you checked your brake fluid level, it may be low. Also check and make sure your e-brake switch is adjusted properily and that it is all the way off.
