Default Brake Lights?

Hey guys, my right brake light keeps going out, so my solution has been to bang on it a couple times and it works again, but then goes out again, today i finally got sick of it and took it off and looked at it, but i dont see anything wrong with the bulb...any ideas??

Not to sound like an ***, but have you tried replacing the bulb? They shouldn't be more than 5 bucks at an auto part store.

well the bulb was my first guess, but when i the light off and got down to the bulb it was fine, my wife hit the brakes and it worked just fine, that was the only reason i figured it wasnt the bulb

An intermittent light problem like that is caused by a bad contact inside the socket. Use a small screwdriver to bend the contacts so they make a tighter fit against the base of the bulb and put some dielectric grease in the socket to help maintain the contact.
