Default Brake lights constantly on

Brake lights constantly on. The second I turn the key, the brake lights turn on (lights off with key in ignition and not turned). It is NOT the rear fog lights and I do NOT have to press the brake pedal for it to turn on. Any thoughts?

Brake light switch (either bad or you kicked it out of adjustment with your foot, look at the RAVE manual for instructions on how to adjust/check)

Bad brake light switch. Lucky for you they are cheap, many auto parts store can get them and install in 5 minutes.

What is the physical location of the brake switch that you replaced? I have the same exact issue.

Above the brake pedal (there's a trim panel that may or may not have to be removed, depends on if someone in the past decided not to put it back on). You might consider downloading the RAVE manual that is referenced in DiscoMikes signature block, it will tell you where various components are and how to replace them.

I have the RAVE manual, unfortunately I was in the middle of nowhere, with my laptop tethered to my phone on a single bar of service, and wouldn't you know it, the file is on my wife's laptop..........

Thanks for the location!
