Talking Brake Lights Turn Orange?!

This is weird.

Start the Disco.

Turn on headlights.

High tail lights are red.

Hit the brake pedal.

Left brake light comes on red.

Right orange blinker turns solid. No right (high) brake light.

Anyone ever see this condition before?!

Sounds like someone wired a new connector and got it wrong

Solved it!

In the rear passenger corner pillar behind the plastic trim is a white electrical connector that slips onto a ground pole, with a ground wire that has a captured nut that screws onto the ground pole to hold that white connector on.

Well, that nut had come off, its ground wire was loose, and the white electrical connector had slipped off of that ground pole.

Slipped the white connector back onto that little pole, then put the captured ground wire nut on top and tightened.

Problem solved!

Brake lights and blinkers now work normally again.
