Default Orange brake fault

So, I replace my front axles and hubs today. I had driven probably 20 miles or so and I get an Orage 'Brake' light on the instrument cluster. No ding - no fault declared in the info screen, no weird noises coming from anywhere underneath.

Is this common after having the front end apart like I did today?

Thanks!

Is the wear pad on the brake sensor worn at all? Any break in contact (IE pad worn through, or wire broken) will cause amber brake fault light. Could be a broken sensor wire or a bad connection at the sensor plug if the light is solid and not flickering (flickering usually is just brake pads worn)

Thanks! It is a solid light. On my way home from work this morning I could actually hear a pad dragging just a bit on the right front. I got to my driveway, raised up to off road hieght and cranked the wheel to the left to give acces. Then I took a hammer and gave the caliper the Habius Wackus. No change. I will get it back on the lift Friday and pull the calipers off again. Just not sure what I will be looking for. Pads on alll 4 corners and rotors on the front were changed in November by the PO prior to selling. I had no issues until I did my tear down for axles and hubs.

Mystery solved.
As it turns out, the Orange brake light and "Check Brake Pads" fault will show up when the wire is no longer in one long, continous piece. IE - severed. Go figure. Derp!

I should have taken a pic - kind of a 'lessons learned' sort of thing...
