Default Brake Pads

Hey all,

On my to do list is brake pads, I have no amigos, just a maintenance plan,I have read some threads here about having to reset codes so, I'm wondering about these...

1. Simply replacing the pads - does that induce faults that have to be reset?

2. I have changed pads for Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Peugeot from previous ownership, will I need any special tools beyond what I have to change pads on a Land Rover Disco II?

Thanks

Robert

Buy the right pads, use plenty of sound deadening spray and there should be no reason to trip the faults.
Go to Atlantic British for a good selection of brake pads.

You'll just need some clamps to press the pistons back into the calipers to fit the new pads. I just switched to a set of Ferodo pads up front and haven't had any squeaks for the 2K miles they've been installed. Be sure to check the rubber seals around the pistons too, and don't rip them with the clamps.

I am using Hawk HPS pads on mine. The dust is low. They are a sport pad so the pedal pressure is harder when they are cold but when hot they stop very fast.
