I just purchased a 94 discovery and it has no brakes. I need to pump the pedal about ten times to get any reaction. What do you think the problem is. Sounds like you have air in the brake lines. Try bleeding them.

Ya..wow...very dangerous, but for sure, bleed the lines---how much fluid is even in the resevoir on the inside?
