Default Brake Problems

I just purchased a 94 discovery and it has no brakes. I need to pump the pedal about ten times to get any reaction. What do you think the problem is. I am getting desperate because I can't really drive it to a shop because the closest one is 30 miles from me. Someone please help me. Gerk3@msn.com. Thanks

Sounds like you have air in the brake lines. Try bleeding them.
