Default Brake question

What do you think is the cause of the brake pedal first going to the floor when depressed and if depressed suddenly again, tons of pressure hits the foot pedal and it stops the vehicle on a dime! Do they need to be bled?

Thanks again!

If the bleeding doesn't help then I would say master cylinder.

Part of Rovers soft brake come from the rubber brake hoses at the caliper. When replaced with stainless steel, the pedal improves quite a bit as does the stopping, along with a full brake fluid change.
