Default Which brake rebuild kit?

'Tis that point in the life of my '03 Disco to replace the rotors and pads.

I'm not a mad offroader, but I do live in West Virginia where even the paved roads can be windy and steep. So, good brakes are a must.

Which kit of rotors and pads (x4) would you folks recommend?

Ferodo @ $409 (special - ends next month) http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9542F.cfm

No name @ $299 http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9542.cfm

EBC on sale @ $495 http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9542EBC.cfm

Anything I need to know about any of these kits?

Thanks.

Thanks for the link.

Is there any advantage to a slot drilled rotors? I've read that they can trap mud and such.

How many miles on your truck, are you sure you need rotors?

ORIGINAL: Disco Mike

It has 49.5K and came from the midwest, so I anticipate they were flat highway miles.

Anyway, I've haven't used a caliper or anything, but the "lip" is fairly pronounced on all 4 rotors. I also have some brake squeal after the brakes have warmed up.

There's no mention in the records about either pad or rotor replacement.
