Default Brakes & Pads

What is a fair labor rate to place rotors, pads, and fluid? I’m being quoted at $1,000 for parts and labor which seems a lot when I can get a genuine brake kit with rotors and pads for $350ish. I got a second quote at $675 for just pads and labor.

Tks

Brake job on a D2 is SUPER easy. I wouldn’t pay a shop more than 1.5hr in labor & 200.00 in parts. I get slotted/drilled/ceramic pads from Brake Motive on Ebay for 165.00. Very good rotors & pads!

A grand is ridiculous unless you are putting a high performance Forge brand brake kit on it.
Get the parts and change them it yourself. It's super easy and cheaper.
It'll help you become "one" with your Disco. lol

Too much if you are in the US, it took me 45 minutes to do my rears including take the tires off putting them back on and find a c- clamp to compress the caliper.

Pads were 126.00 Cdn for Napa Prem semi metallic set of 4

My rotors are still good, doing the fronts shortly as well, I put a whole hour a side for that job. I have a few things to check while I am in there.

So pads 250 ish and 1.5 hours labour another 150 ish call it 400.00 CDN

Rotors are tough but about $700 CDN for all 4

If you are US Napa will run you a total of 380 in parts (yes we get screwed in parts costs up here) and I can not see $600 + in labour

If your in Canada you can order the brake parts from wrenchmonkey.ca. Ship to your door. Decent prices. Kinda the Canadian version of rock auto. I usually order from lucky8 but I’m by the border and use an American virtual mailbox and go pick my stuff up

$1000 is what the dealer wants for my Range Rover Sport with Brembos.

Find a new shop!

Easy job.

That's "www.thewrenchmonkey.ca". The one you had was a computer parts place.
But I am happy to see another Canadian option!
