Default Braking problems

I have a 99 DISCO II with a firm brake pedal. None of the brake fault lights are on. ABS, traction control and hill descent are still functioning. Before I go and replace the brake servo, are there any self tests I can perfrom. With the exception of the the firm brake pedal, the brake system still functions. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Have you done any work to the brakes? If the master cylinder was recently replaced and the servo was not adjusted right, you would have a hard pedal. But if not, and everything else is ok, that should get it...

Thanks for info. The master cylinder was replaced. How do I adjust the servo?

The rod from the booster turns to shorten or lengthen, that is your adjustment.

Mike, could you please elaborate? Is there a service page to explain this? I replaced the master, and antiskid box, bleed with a switch. But my truck continues to have a firm (unassisted feel) pedal. Swapped the servo with another one to see if that helped but to no avail.
My first servo I tore apart to see if diaphram was broken, it was not. The rod does not look adjustable just came out of the other diaphram, and laying on my desk. How do I adjust, please?

Hey Doug take a look at the date of the last post. I don’t think you’re likely to get the response that you’re looking for.
