Default A brief rant

My 9 y.o. Chevy farm truck with a 5.3 ls motor went bad at 100k. A reman crate motor long block is $2600. Why does a long block for us cost 5k when it is just a medieval little nailhead? I know supply and demand but I just won't do it.

You nailed it supply and demand. Plus it’s a landrover not a ford ranger

if it was easy everyone would be putting in a small block Chevy

Actually its a Chevy pickup and a LS would be a pretty direct exchange so I would rate that as pretty easy. One could even call it bolt in

Most part stores over charge for foriegn cars, even if they are made in the states, because they can. The internet is our only saving grace. Even then.
