Default Broke door lock button/tab

I was replacing the inner panel on the driver’s side rear door today, and, not paying attention, yanked it with enough force to brake whatever plastic piece attaches the metal rod to the manual lock

button/tab (see picture). After peeling away the plastic vapor barrier (or whatever it is) and feeling around inside, I’m beginning to conclude that I’ll be living without a manual locking button on this door. AmIright?

Thanks,

DRW

Parts store would have that piece...or Rovers North. I've got several door locks, if you fail to find it locally. Could drop one in the mail very easily.

Hey - thanks! I was wondering more about level of effort to get to and replace. Just did a cursory look but it seems quite difficult to access…

Hey - thanks for this video! I’m going to have to watch it a couple more times tomorrow, once the effects of the Cabernet have subsided!
