Default broken hose

so I noticed a broken hose on top of the engine today, the truck is still running but the hose looks like it is slightly crushed. the hose runs from the plenum chamber straight out to the rocker cover and has a vacuum on it. it is about 8 inches long. I seem to lack quite a bit of power and am wondering if this is why. I also am unsure of what this hose is called (to replace it)

PCV hose likely......yes it can cause some issues. fix or replace the hose and check the fragile little plastic "oil separator" stuck in the valve cover where the hose attaches to it.
part # 9205G gets you all the goodies @ atlanticbritish

Use needle nose pliers to remove the oil separator from the passenger valve cover adn clean with carb cleaner.
Replace once dry.
As for the hose, just go buy vacuum line from the autoparts store.
Buy 2 ft of it and some small worm clamps, cut it to length and make sure it does not kink and secure it with the clamps if you need to.
This will cost you a total of $10.
You can replace the one of the drivers side too the same way.
You will have extra hose, keep it around for something else.

I was thinking it looked like PCV but I wasn't sure because I was under the impression our trucks didn't have a PCV valve so I wasn't sure. I put some duct tape on it temporarily (and it sucked right down tight once the truck started), I dont know how long its been damaged like that but I am sure its been a while so I figured a few more days wouldn't hurt anything.

When you are your hose, order both of them cause if one is bad the other most likely is too.

You were close, rovers have no EGR valve/system.

I replaced mine years ago, $2 ? @ hardware, when I put it back on, I slid a spring inside so it won't ever kink if soft.

I shot brakeclean into the oil mist trap in the rocker cover to clean it

luck,greg
