Default Broken spring

Hey dudes,
okay, so I just put on my new tires/rims (245/75R16) last night and when I pulled off the front driver side tire, I noticed that my spring didn't look right. So after inspecting it, I could see where it broke near the last coil on the bottom (so the spring came down awkward about an inch or so).
So now I know I have to replace the spring and might as well replace them all. And while I"m at it, replace the shocks too. And still while I'm in there even deeper, I think replace the shock tower (they're rusted quite a bit and coming apart where it bolts to the frame).
So my first question is, "while I'm in there", should I put a 2" lift on my truck? And either way, what exactly would I need to purchase? Is the "HD Coil Spring Conversion Kit" and "Shock Tower" all I need? (ex. the securing ring set?)

2002 Discovery II

Thanks!

IF you are going to be replacing all of the springs and shocks then it is about the same price to get a Terrafirma 2" lift. I would go with medium load springs unless you are going to have front and rear steel bumpers, roof rack, sliders and tons of weight, otherwise they will feel really stiff.

Terrafirma also make replacement shock towers that look great.

Here are the parts you need for the medium duty lift and towers:

1) +2" springs and +2" shocks- TF230 - Disco 2 Air to Coil Conversion Kit

2) TF802 Steering Damper- TF802 - Discovery 2 steering damper

3) TF534 D2 front shock turrets- Terrafirma Front shock turrets | Suspension - Hardware Accessories for Land Rover Vehicles

Do you have air suspension or coil suspension in the rear?

thanks guys

I've got coil suspension in the rear.

Will the +2 springs and +2 shocks give me the 2" lift or do I need to put spacers in? (if I decide to do the lift)

thanks

Yes, The parts I listed above will give you a full 2" of lift. The spacers you talk about are for lifting the air bags. Since you don't have air bags then you just remove the old spring and install the +2" spring and shock and you are good to go.
