It would almost certainly take a little bit of custom fabrication, but I don't see why you couldn't make it work. It shouldn't be much more complicated than putting a Chevy Trail Blazer brush guard on an '03.

Yes, it will fit. I believe someone on landroversonly.com recently posted pictures of a DI bumper they installed on their DII. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might look.

Stock bumper or aftermarket? I have a D1 safarigard on my D2, no issues

Here is my friends 03 with a D1 front bumper. It looks a little better in the photos as there is a slight gap at the top which shows the water bottle. It bolted up direct with no modification.

I stand corrected. Actually, that looks really good. I might have to look into one to replace my cracked bumper.

That really doesn't look bad at all, but it's hard enough to find a mint d2 bumper, let alone a mint D1 version

I find the D1 bumpers to be more plentiful than D2. The center piece(D1) is the one that is sometimes cracked, usually the rear post that the screws go into, but the face of them are normally good. The plastic is less brittle than the D2 bumpers... In my opinion.

I have 2 complete D1 bumpers right now!

Not at the moment. I'm actually working on a deal to buy a white D1, but not sure of the grill condition. Are all D1s Chawton White?
