Have you looked at the Terrafirma?

This is a bumper I like more than the Terrafirma :
Shadow Heavy Duty Bumper for Discovery 2 with Fog Lights

too bad shipping is almost $300. You can get it w/o lights.

I like that. Reminds me of the work Denny at HLC used to do. His had real similar lines.

Yes,

We have the TF009 or the Britpart DA5645. Both are non-fog light winch bumpers with recovery points. IMHO, if you are going to use it, I recommend spending the extra $ and going with the TF009. I used to run one before I put the Platinum bumper on.

Default Platinum Bumper

Hey Erik, I just installed the Platinum bumper this weekend, that I ordered from you. Just a few questions, Sorry ahead of time, I'm new to off roading, only been a few times. Did you leave out the front member that connects the front of the frame? Also, since you have the same bumper, have you ever been recovered from the recovery points? My friends are telling me stories about bumpers ripping right through the frames on their jeeps etc. I told them that that they are there to recover the vehicle on, but just want to confirm. Thanks.

You can drop the little support it has no purpose with the new bumper. Also yes you can recover from those points on the platnium. I've seen them used and it holds up just fine.

Tell those jeep boys to start buying better trucks and the frames won't fail.

What Bill said. Ive used mine for over a year and it has held up just fine. Chances are if it is a Jeep on Jeep recovery, there is either a chain or a non-kinetic strap involved and they are getting a 30-40 ft running start while trying to bump a truck buried in 8ft of mud.
