To Buy or not to Buy for that is the question
It would make for a great long-term discussion thread to define the Disco 2 niche.
You see, the Disco 2 is a fantastic vehicle for a small niche group of Owners. Great off-road capability. Cheap parts. Luxury driving. Easy to wrench on.
...but we might disagree on the exact size/nature of that niche group of Owners.
What we probably would mostly agree on is that if you are outside the sweet spot of that Perfect Owners niche (e.g. don't have access to a junk yard for parts, mechanic's tools, unafraid of certain mechanical gremlins appearing without warning), then the Disco 2 could be a poor fit.

Seattle area.
Though honestly, with the loss I've taken, it'll probably be a LS Swap if the kit ever comes out, I'm hoping they stay on track and it'll be end of summer.

@No Doubt only thing you missed was and a bit lucky or at least not unlucky. No disrespect but @05TurboS2K I think you hit the unlucky.
I would just keep your precious modified Tacoma?
i thought the exam question would better read: A Toyota is to a disco as is a daily turn key is to an overland builder.. not the other way around?
My 04 is in my driveway & just turned 196k
and I love that thing. And this forum for that matter.
Well phrased points here. I see these relationships carrying on for some time to come. (knock on wood)
