Default Buy whole Drag link or just ends?

Ok time to tackle my front end slop! Can the 4 ends just be replaced? Or do I need to purchase the 2 whole links? It looks link maybe one end is welded on... I'd crawl under and look but the car is 20 miles away!

You would need to buy both ends/the entire link from the look of what you sent

Right on. So 3 with right hand threads (at knuckles) and 1 left hand thread. (at pitman arm)

Also, I see on rock auto there is a "SD" model listed. Does that cover my Disco II? Thanks for helping a noob!

No, not all the rod ends are replaceable. You have to order a new drag link if you want to replace both. I would consider getting the TerraFirma heavy duty steering rods instead (https://amzn.to/3AQJJVN) so you can replace both ends in the future. The rod ends on the TF kit are Defender ball joints, so if/when you order replacements in the future, you'll want to make sure you order those, not Disco 2 ends. The Defender rod ends have much beefier shanks.

I was in this exact position last week. I got the tera firma steering kit for just under $200. I was able to replace the worst tie rod end to get me by for a day trip while I was waiting for the steering kit to arrive. Even though half are replaceable, the one I did was pretty seized and required soaking for days, a bunch of heat, and a breaker bar.

The tera firma looks nice and is about twice as heavy as the stock stuff.

In theory on some of them you can replace the end joints; however, it's not worth it -- just replace the whole assembly with new joints at either end! (also some are not removable.. I am pretty sure the original ones from LR were removable...)
