Covering the connections and replacing the dryer are good. I didn’t do my condenser but I’ve heard that you don’t need to pull the radiator to do it (RAVE says you do).

Only other thing that comes to mind is when you’re installing the new o-rings, you shouldn’t install them dry (just like a new oil filter). Use a q-tip inside one of the pipes or the old condenser to get some refrigerant oil onto them before you seal up the connections.

I can't recall for certain but I believe when you undo all the brackets for radiator and condenser there's enough room to lean the radiator back and slip the condenser up and out. Remove the drier first to minimize the amount of clearance you need, and obviously install the new drier once the condenser is in place.

Yep I’ve heard the same thing, also removing the fan though

Hey. Just fair warning. Replacing that condensor is a humungous pain. There are all these funky brackets to line up, the tabs on the condenser come bent up, and getting the fan bolts to line up is hard. It's at least a six pack job. Keep the kids in the house so they don't hear your language

Thanks guys!

@Zuke it's a pain, but I have had that radiator out so many times I can do it without wanting to murder someone or burn the car.

I actually got the radiator in really easily. Practice I guess, it drove me nuts the first few times.

I got the Nissen's A/C Condenser. Looks great 3 new brackets with bolts. They are getting a helping of anti-sieze this time around.

D2 is back from the shop. Cost $62 to evacuate the a/c. Wife's car got all the brakes done.

Noticed a weird intermittent knocking sound so will have to check it out. From under the car, like something is loose, started after sitting for a long time.

Can confirm that just removing the brackets from the radiator is enough to lift up, then pull out the Condenser. The bolt that holds the drier on broke, so it is possible to get it out with that on.

Waiting for the drier and seals, getting the Aux fan ready. Brackets have been dipped in rust remover, and painted with rubberized undercoating.

New A/C Condenser in and working great.

Getting it, and the aux fan brackets/radiator brackets took some trial and error, but went well.

The new aux fan does a really nice job.

I would love it if there were a way to get it to turn on at 200 instead of 212.
