Default C- pillar?

Flat black trim piece behind rear door is loose. The mounting points are cracked. Instead of buying another piece that ranges from $50.00 used to $100.00 new what can be used to secure it? I tried epoxying the posts without success. I thought about globbing silicone behind it and taping it until secure.

Thoughts?

I used LocTite Grab It. Comes in a caulking tube. Same stuff that will hold a brick on a veritcal wall with 3 lines of Grab It. I clamped it gently with a deep mouth wood working clamp. Its been solid for almost a year now. You can add some clear silicon around the inside edge if you feel its necessary.

Default Loc tite

Thanks- Gotta be better than trying to epoxy the broken teeth behind the flat trim piece. This procedure failed twice. I'm thinking silicone won't be strong either... and so I'll give the Loc tite a go. Where did you get it... Lowe's?
