Default A/C system unusual symptoms

Hi all,

i have a problem and nobody knows the answer. It is Discovery 2 from 2003

A/C works perfect, no error codes. Put in on AUTO/ECON and the right side blows harder then the driver side but same temperature, not colder or warmer.
Put the sustem on direct blow, everything goes perfect. I can not understand where the problem is. In winter is the situation not so good, due to the fact that on long drives on AUTO the right side window is clean and the driver side is foggy.

thank you for any advice

My mechanic solved the problem in a customers rover by changing the interior fuse box.

Search "fuse box AC problems", you should find some info.

I don't know how to properly diagnose the problem, but know that your exact symptoms were remedied by changing the inteterior fuse box.

Does that mean manual control of blower speed or what? Who were the nobodies and how many?

Since speaking of side windows sounds like less flow out of face level vents on the LH?

eBay has them for a lot cheaper. I could also sell you one at a competitive price. But it's always wise to diagnose before throwing parts at the problem. Good luck

Joe Black, direct blow explanation understood. I'm with you and don't comprehend how changing a fuse box would help. I waded through the description/operation in both Workshop and Electrical manual after viewing the wiring diagram. When time is available will check it out again in an attempt to see what may change during direct blow. Top of my head would think drivers side vent blending may be at fault but how to fix?
