A/C Vent temps.
Passenger side wasn’t cold so I got the a/c recharged at a shop.
04 D2 with rear a/c
in Texas...
we were confused (I know the technician) on the Freon amount needed because the sticker says 780g and rave says 900g...so we/he put 900 in it and at idle, 100 degrees outside the shop and the driver center vent only gets to 60 degrees. 2 years ago when I did this before i seem to remember getting 48 degrees at the vent. Using a stick thermo...
so does anyone know if 60 degrees sounds right? Seems high to me.

My 2000 says 700 (w/out rear air) & 900 (w/ rear air) on the sticker underwood. I think 03/04 may have changed. Your underwood sticker on the 04 says 780 w/ rear air?
I do think 60 is a bit high. I get 55-56 on mine on a hot day which could be better and feels marginal to me.

Which vent? I don't know of a single D2 out there today especially in TX that still has a tightly sealed up HVAC blower box. All the foam has either flown out the vents, got stuck in the blower, or has fallen up inside the dash. That'll cause cool air to leak out before it ever gets to the actual vent and maybe that's why you had such a poor reading.

I’ll get back to y’all on pressures. Can’t remember. I’ll ask him
Gotta check pressures with the system running/compressor cycling. Ac on coldest setting, max fan and not on recirculate is best. 90 would be extremely high for the low side and super low for the high side.
Making an assumption the system was off with the 90/90 numbers.
Ambient temps will affect your pressures to an extent as well. theirs quite a few r134a low/high pressure guides if you google a bit.
