Hi. A nearby thread reminded me to ask this...

The wipers have been shifting position a couple of mm per year; now hitting the lower rubber when horizontal nor reaching near the A pillars when vertical.
Where is the restoring calibration done, or what wears down ?

 

Wipers for my D1 had problems when I bought it, but fixed by removing and opening up the wiper motor/gear. The copper contacts needed to be cleaned and polished up. Linkages and rubber mounts also could be wearing or need lube, or wiper arms at the pivot nut could also corrode and move out of position.
