Just out of curiosity, is it completing the other drive cycles? Like evap, SAI, o2 readiness? Can you use your scanner to verify the downstream O2 sensors are giving out correct information? Also, when you are driving around, is it running it open loop or closed loop mode once it is all warmed up?

searching the net probably your best bet, for example:
https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...e-drive-75611/

How was the ECU 'flashed'?

You say you do not have codes. As a side note, I could not get my codes cleared until I used walker O2 sensors. I went through 2 or 3 sets of other brands. Walker UP 350-34462 DOWN 350-34188. What are you using?

Same thing as I posted before. It shouldn't take 200+ miles to complete the drive cycles. I had all of mine complete in less than 50 I would say. Just some various warmup cycles and cruising at 45-50mph and 35-40mph around the country back roads where I live for an hour or so. I'm really curious if his Disco is ever getting to closed loop mode once he gets it running. If it's not, something is definitely wrong with his O2 sensors and/or ECU, although I have a hard time believing that two different ECUs would have the same problem...Again verify that your O2 sensors are working correctly and it is entering closed loop upon warmup. I'm no Bosch ECU specialist at all, but I have a hard time believing it would complete the readiness test before its entered closed loop.

New to this forum and new to LR's just purchased a Disco 2. Like many the cat monitor continues to read incomplete. There was no follow up from the OP whether he was able to get the vehicle to pass smog? All the threads I have read never have a conclusion.

I bought it and was so hot to buy it I forgot to get the seller to provide a smog cert. In California by law it is the seller's responsibility. I reached out to him and thus far is unresponsible.

TIA

Thanks! Unfortunately, even in that thread there is some confusion. 1. If there's an error code pending it will hold the cat monitor up. 2. Some report driving freeways for an hour to bring the cat monitor up, no driving cycle.
Still seems kinda a murky mess.

That is because no one knows exactly what algorithm LR programmed in. Good luck.

update on mine guys...i actually got mine to pass! i spent 2+ years and changed out everything possible and this is what actually worked!!!

Amazon Amazon

unbelievable i know. i bought 2 bottles of it bc of the fuel tank size and used as it recommended assuming if it worked at all it would take running through a couple tanks atleast. i finished the first tank and added the second bottle preparing to run through another tank. just for the hell of it i checked it with my reader and i was F(*&^* shocked that it said the cat was ready. i think i sat in the car laughing for about 10 minutes totally miffed how after all the **** i spent cash on and replaced i spent 17$ at walmart on two bottles of that stuff. i took over to the star smog place and it passed with flying colors.

That's awesome!!

I have literally never owned a vehicle that has this kind of issue. I find it interesting that when I reset the DTC's and did drive cycle "d" all 7 monitors came up with the Evap monitor "incomplete". Previously, the evap monitor was complete and just the cat monitor was the hang up. I have done all the drive cycles except A and E. I need to fill the tank back up to at least 3/4 and let it sit and do those last 2. If this doesn't clear I may try your additive solution and if that doesn't work I'll just go the other root and pay someone to pass it. I have a life after all and would like to enjoy it wheeling and camping.
