Camshaft Position Sensor question

Do I need to remove the crankshaft pulley to replace the camshaft position sensor or will removing the fan and serpentine belt be enough to get access to it?
I have the RAVE manual, but looking at the pictures it looks like they reference the replacement as if the crankshaft pulley is removed but it doesn't say it needs to be removed... inspection from below kind of indicates at least the fan and serpentine belt need to come off.
Thanks ahead of time.

My daughters rig has 197k miles on it.. which was formerly my rig, so she inherited the mechanic also.
With a check engine light on for the camshaft position sensor. I will remove the water pump pulley and see if I get more clearance.
I updated to a 2008 RR HSE (non-sport, full RR) which is really nice but I still like the fact that I can hit stuff with the disco and not worry about it.

Well.. for those that have to do this work. Ignore the manual, it says remove it from the bottom which may work if you have a lift. But you really can't see the sensor, so do it from the top. You need to remove the fan, serpentine belt and fan pulley, the fan is a 36 mm wrench which comes like a standard nut and you can use a couple of screwdrivers to form a brake to keep the fan from moving. Then pull the pulley off using the same method, but rest your socket wrench on top of the shaft of the screw driver. You will need a 15 mm socket for the serpentine tensioner, a 12 mm for the fan bolts and a 8 mm bent wrench to get to the sensor bracket. The sensor connector slides on from right to left on a blade bracket just above the flywheel.
Works like a charm.
