Hello to all discovery enthusiast,,
I am bong just a new member and i own a 96 disco which i bought last year and still in good condition but lately i discovered about the going up and down of the rpm especially when i amin afull stop inevery intersectionor any stop lightand sometimes my engine just went off but if i restart it again it becomes fine.I dont know if this is the right term for this because i don't have any idea about engine but i'm eager to learn.

Thanks for the offer but the problem is that i'm not that regularly using internet anyway pls just drop off some message and i'll keep on passing by here every time i used the net....

about my disco 96 well im having this problem of stalling and this going High of thr RPM when coming from start but when i started running and it reaches 40 in the tacometer the running becomes smooth again but there are times that i have rough engine i mean when i reaches 100kph my rpm is almost at no. 4 of the taco pls excuse my terms coz i have no idea about the names hehehehehe

Seems like an Idle Air control valve or something named similar.

i bought a new air valve regulator something but the stalling never end there..still at traffic lights especially when at full stop the tacho tends to go up n down and sometimes ends up turing of the car.. but restarting is easy.
