So I have done a full re-seal of the engine and trans. I am putting the transmission back in and I notice fluid started leaking around the bolt circled in blue. I can see that the other bolt like this has red RTV so I just want to be sure that I can take this one out and seal it without undoing something inside the trans.

Are you sure its that plug leaking and not somewhere else leaking and running down to that bolt? That's an odd place to develop a leak

I'm afraid I don't have an answer to your question. I'd say you can, but can't confirm. I was actually just looking at that today. I was wondering if I could add a trans temp sensor there.
