Can you replace the crucifix seals by dropping the oil pan and bearing retainer?

Default Can you replace the crucifix seals by dropping the oil pan and bearing retainer?

Apologize I searched a bunch on this never came across an good answer. I’m still tracking down a leak. Leaking a bit worse after I did a oil sump gasket replacement attempt. Going to redo the the sump gasket and while I’m in there maybe replace the crucifix seals in hopes it’s not the rear main seal. I’ve dried the blue devil no luck.

if anyone can point me in the direction of a write up or rave manual page I’d appreciate it.

Yes. You have to pull the starter for access to the cross bolts on the rear main cap.

Yeah, somewhere. More bearing replacement specific, but it has the crusifix seals in there too.

Ignore all the bearing priming stuff, you don't need to, just a little grease on the bearing bottom

Does the same go for a D1? That is can the cross seals be replaced the same way?
