can you tell me if these look like the stock Drive Shafts?

You shouldn't have any problem at all finding a driveline shop in or close to Westchester. Just call up a heavy truck repair shop and ask them who they have rebuild their drivelines.
Unless you do hard core off-roading the stock propshafts are fine provided they are rebuilt and lubricated properly.

My SN is actually a model of a mountain bike that I had when I first started racing.

found the old thread. "precision #617-ball kit" Lucky me there is a place right in my town that specializes in drive shafts. I will call and get an estimate tomorrow and possibly order the parts off rockauto and tell them i just need the parts installed to guarantee i get the right stuff. thank you again.

If you're ordering from Rockauto there's no guarantee you'll get the right stuff. They sent me the wrong parts and it took a complaint and over a month to finally get them to cover the $7 shipping to return them.
You can get them at Advance, there's one in Stamford, PDQ 10005 u-joint and Neapco 7-0081NG centering kit.
The driveline shop will have the parts you need, but they will probably cost more. The PDQ u-joint is about $12 at Advance, at a driveline shop, the same u-joint, only in a Neapco box, will cost $25-$30.
