Can you tell what is done to my DISCO II
I am trying to figure out what is done to my disco II. It currently has 34" super swamper LTB, OME front stabilizer, ARB air locker and high cap air compressor, I think it has a trutac in the front (when one of the front wheels is off the ground that front wheel doesnt spin freely). Those are the things i know that are done. The guy that had it before me put the 34" SS on it. It had 315/75R16 KM2's on it. If someone could tell me how to measure how much lift i have, what type of bumpers i have, how can i tell if my axles are upgraded, and whether or not i have different gear set. By the way if anybody has a hawk scanner(are they as good as they say they are or is the amigo scanner from dsw and an OBDII scanner enough) I am trying to decide on some rock rails. If some one with 4.11 gears and 33-35in tires do a speedo/rpm test at 60 on the highway in 3rd gear. If so thanks very much for your help...
I can tell you that you have ARB bumpers, by the obvious sticker/logo on the front bumper. That's about all I can tell you... others will probably chime in and help you out. The ARB bumpers are sought after on this forum and the retail price is more than what a lot of us want to pay for a bumper.
As far as your gears, the best way, and probably the most expensive way, is to tear them apart and look at them. Or, have a shop do it. I don't know much about gearing, so I don't know how else to figure that out.

Others may post their rpm vs mph points. And you can use the speed over ground function of a GPS, most speedometers already run like 5 mph slow.
Since all this work has been done for you perhaps you can afford the 180F thermsotat, and look at an Ultra Gauge instead of a generic scanner.

it would not be a direct correlation to your exact lift, but if you measure from the center of your wheel to the bottom of your arch, you can do the math from factory specs. you will know how high you are
Dusty- I believe that's designed to work with the plastic arches, which have been removed.
As for 4.11s, definitely use a GPS spedo like in a GPS iPhone app. At 80mph I'm at 3k rpms with 33" tires and GBR 4.11 gears.
