4.11 gears (or any other ratio) won't affect the speedo on a D2.

Yep. I was just trying to simplify the math for everyone.

Wasn't this truck for sale on the forums?

Why would you not ask what all had been done to the truck when you purchased it?

I dont think the guy i bought it from knew all that was done he is a friend on my boat, and i got the thing for $500 and replaced the tranny and torque converter, he had bought it a year earlier and then sucked water into the tranny because he didn't route the breather tubes up higher. The 3 amigos are on and i am currently trouble shooting that. But for that amount of money with the mods that i knew were worth more than the price i was buying it for.

At 40mph the transmission goes into high gear and the torque lock comes one to eliminate slip thru the torque convertor. If you are not on the interstate, 45 is a good speed to travel at to conserve gas.

I got 14.1 MPG driving like this lately around town.
Of course people get mad - but they like to buy gas and tromp the pedal to the floor.
That's their thing.

At 60 MPH you are a mile a minute. you can time it that way on the interstate with your watch and the mile post markers.
To see if you are accurate.
