Thanks a bunch..I just changed oil for Valvaline non synth VR1 Racing oil with High zinc...10/30 this is what is recommended by Steve at Cannibal. Truck is running unreal and seems to get better with more miles even in this 89-91 degree temps

RTE Fab - I luv the look and the strength the built in lights are unreal for amt of light that comes out. I highly recommend this and the rear bumper and RTE Bill is amazing to deal with

I spoke with Steven at CannibalV8 and I am very very interested in getting one of their engines swapped into my D2. I am not nearly worried about the whole thing as I was before we spoke on the phone.

Steve has reached out to me after the install to see how I am liking this motor and to provide as much follow up info as possible. I could not be happier with this decision

Update 8/13
Motor has been absolutely great! I had a initial issue with harmonic balancer that was shaved a slightly too much (accident - Steve was not happy that this occurred but made it all right) and caused a slight oil leak. We (The Shop) put a slightly used one back on and Steve stepped up and sent me another machined one now on the shelf (to be put on soon). So No more leaks ...and I mean no more leaks anywhere! Drive train, tranny diffs.. etc....
I have put probably 600+miles on the motor which only gets VR1 10-30 Valvoline Non Synth (high Zinc) for the first 6k miles and it pulls great with the upgraded cam shaft, seems to get better and better with more miles. I also am now enjoying the upgraded brakes slotted/dimpled EBC rotors and Ackemo pads and they have gotten better with more miles as well. Also the ceramic coated exhaust manifold from Cannibal really helps dissipate heat quicker than a stock manifold (a well worth it addition)
Anyway I could not be happier with this decision. I could not be happier with Steve and Cannibal - top notch customer service and follow up! .....Well maybe TDI but that was more expense and more complicated than I wanted. For anyone like me that is sick and tired of the Stock motor oil issues, noise issues, head gasket issues and slipped sleeve issues this motor from Cannibal is the ****! Not cheap but finally a Bullet proof set up....this is the way they should have come from the factory.... I also added a huge 950 CCA AGM battery to help keep my lights and winch going strong as well. New fender flares are going on next week as well. Finally a happy camper .....

that is the way it came from the factory, poorly machined parts and oil leaks

Hi Yoops,
Got my baby in The Shop and will be up next week to pick her up.
I will give you a shout when I am headed that way.
Just a few stats:
Towed a BMW GS 1200
Temps : 188* - 209* - Ultra gauge
MPG : 13.9 @ 70mph - cruise control
: 14.0 @65 mph - temp no higher than 194*

I'm thrilled with this motor.

Thanks Steve.

what are those driving lamps you have mounted on the bumper? Dam they look sexy as hell? What are the specs for them and where did you get them? I bought Hella 500 driving lamps, havnt even installed them but already have my doubts...
