Default Can't decide on 265/75-16 or 285/75-16 after lift.

I recently purchased 5 Hankook RF10's for my 18"s. 255/60-18. Brand new pretty much. I decided to install a lift on the truck. Terrafirma shocks, extended GW SS lines, rear sway extensions and big blue springs. I believe the springs are the 2" version.

I will be selling the 18"s as soon as I get new tires. I just purchased 5 16" wheels off a 03 rover that was being parted out. Looked like it was rolled.

I will be getting the Treadwright Guarddog E's. But I don't know which size to get. Doing searches, everyone was soooo happy they ended up going with 285 instead of 265. But I don't know if I want to chance my drivetrain.

Down the road(4-5months) I will do a locker and HD axle in the rear. I also am waiting on a call from Denny from hlcfab to discuss a new front bumper.

Everyone still think 265/75 is the sweet spot?

Get load range D's, not E's, unless you tow a 32ft travel trailer, which you would be crazy to. E's will be much stiffer, and you don't need the higher load, as your truck doesn't have a high enough GVW to justify it.

im sticking with my 265/75's... i do drive my truck to the trails and since i didn't regear the get-up and go off the line is as fast as a snail. any larger and i think the gears would shoot out the back end.

so if you do go 285 you might as well go 305 if you plan on putting HD shafts, axles and regearing.

Nope most I pull is two ATVs. Max weight probably 900lbs plus trailer weight. Okay I will call treadwright and tell them I want the D's on BFG casings.

Still have to decide on size.
