capless lugnuts for alloy wheels
has anyone been able to source capless lug nuts for alloy wheels?
all the usual vendors seem to only have capless steel lug nuts for steel wheels.

I got my solid polished lug nuts from this Ebay seller back in 2021. Still working well for me, ie, no rust:

But they do not appear to have any in stock in their Ebay store now. Perhaps inquire with them?
These ones are nice, but backordered:

i ended up finding some DormanŽ 611-118 - Chrome Cone Seat Acorn Lug Nuts. they come in the 23 mm size. they are ordered and should be here soon. i'll report back as to whether they hold up or rust quickly.

Same.
If you go down this road, wear heavy gloves. Have a good vice.
My process:
Find a 1/4" wood chisel your kids have ruined
Put the lug nut in the bench vice
Peirce the cap from above with the chisel and then work the "tear" in the metal to the edge, over the side and down until the cap is split on one side
Put the chisel in the split on the side and "lever" the cap off
Grab the cap and pull it the rest of the way off
Realize you need gloves and go find a bandage

Those dorman lug nuts will not work with factory wheels. The wheels do not take an acorn style lug nut; they take a flat seat style lug nut.
