Default Cardon U Joint 2001 Disco

I ordered the parts 3 u joints and the carrier bearing and intend to rebuild my front propellor shaft. I have a u joint tool and a large vice. It looks like the only hard part is getting the centering bearing out and ligning it all back at the end.

Does anyone have any advice or insights regarding this before I start?

How did you get the centering ball out?

How did you get the centering ball in?

How did you do the final alignment?

The only real way to take it out is with a slide hammer, go rent one from advance auto/autozone. Getting it in you need a large socket...a 1in I think works. You just tap it in. Make sure you put a bunch of grease in the socket first and i'd recommend leaving the cardboard cylinder that ships in it in place while you tap it in so the pins don't fall down. putting the joint back together is a real pain but doable, put the spring in the opposite end of the centering ball and carefully position it to make sure you don't knock any pins down. The alignment should be how you pulled it apart. I hope you marked everything down the shaft and the flanges on the truck itself.
