Default driveshaft front double cardon joint

my frontdrive shaft failed today, and the double cardon joint was broken. Searching this website I now see, I could have saved myself the headache by doing some maintenance.

My big Q is, is it possible to just buy the double cardon joint? or is there no choice but the buy the whole shaft?

Thank you.

I'm not aware of anyone who sells the DC unit. You could probably find one new, but that would cost as much as a used propshaft probably. I'd just get a used propshaft (don't pay over $100) and rebuild it before installing.
Or get a GBR or TW.

I live in Sanford, FL.
Antichrist, what is GBR / TW, and where an I get one?

My mechanic is a good friend, he will rebuild it. Right now, LandRover sells me an OEM for $575, BritishAtlantic $399 for a driveshaft...

Looking at junkyard to get one. Is a driveshaft from other model car be used as long as the length is the same?

Want mine? Pay for shipping and it's yours
Previous owner said he replaced it last year but with an OEM one. I didn't have any problems with it and it looks in great shape. I just didn't want to chance it so I bought one from Drive Shaft Power in Lake Worth, FL. You can check out DSP's website and call them. They charged $311 including shipping, 2 year warranty, fully greased and ready to install. Or if you want a good shaft to rebuild, let me know.....

Default Double Cardon front drive shaft joint

At an early stage in the evolution of the high-speed diesel a variable timing device was introduced in the pump drive coupling, taking the form of a helically splined coupling by means of which the angular relation between driving and driven shafts could
