Default Double Cardon

I did find the grease points on my 2003 for most of the areas, but the double cardon on the front shaft seems to not have any. Does anyone know the part numbers to get a greasable version? Why they put an allan key plug instead of spending an extra 30 cents to put a grease nipple on the front shaft too is beyond me.

Any issue with installing grease nipples myself onto the double cardon? (besides drilling too deep) if I just drill and tap?

They leave the grease nipple off of the shaft because of the potential for that grease nipple to get caught on sensitive parts nearby. If you did not replace your allen key plug, you need to crawl back under and do that.

I wouldn't recommend drilling. That is certainly creative, but each bearing cup is an enclosed unit, as far as I can remember when I looked there are no channels between the bearings to effectively pass grease. It will only cost you 200 - 250 dollars to rebuild the shaft, 75 if you do it yourself.
