Sorry to see that. Hey at least your wheels were clean! No one was seriously injured--the truck can be replaced.

What a shame. I'm sorry for your loss and wish you the best of luck in your search for another rig.

Sorry for the mishap but I would call BS on the surging! Last time I heard of surging was with the mid 80's Audi's and that's it. Glad no one was hurt but I would call BS. Get your pride and joy fixed or get it replaced by the "surging" gremlins.

Yeah, I have an 80s Audi 5000 and there never was any surging. The news network that ran with that story apologized years later that they had rigged the tests and made the whole thing up. Almost put Audi out of business in the U.S. Sorry about your Disco loss, but cars do not magically surge ahead at full speed.

The "surging issue" is that the attendant likely had his foot on the gas instead of the brake. When the truck started accelerating, he floored it even though he thought he was stomping the brakes.

"Unintended acceleration" almost put Audi out of business 20 years ago. After hundreds of millions of dollars in lawyer fees, it was proved beyond a doubt a car's brakes can't fail and throttle go wide open at the same time, then fix itself. But anyone on this board could probably tell you that.
