Default Cassette issues

My radio its self works just fine. It’s the cassette player that doesn’t work. I put one in and it goes in just fine but then switches back and forth from each side then it ejects its self? Any way to fix it?

Every auto-reverse deck I've seen has a 'feeler" that rides on the tape with a little pressure. When the tape reaches the end it pulls tight pushing on that feeler. That causes the reverse to occur. If there is unnecessarily extra tension in the tape form the reel mechanisms being tight, then the tape will be too tight and trigger the reversal. Or that feeler might be acting too sensitively.
