Have you checked to see if your 03 cats are still covered under the State or Federal extended emission warranty which can go to 80,000 in some states?

The girl just turned 85000 this summer so I am guessing that the cats are out of warranty. I did go with option #3 at $400.00. I got under the disco today to remove the old cats and I think I am going to send it to an expert. The bolts are stuck and hard to even get onto, plus if something breaks they have the right tools to fix it!!! Thanks for all the advice, you have made my choice easier and I feel much better about it!!! What a wonderful place for everyone to get ideas and suggestions!!!

Do you actually have a problem with a broken catalytic converter or a code 420,430 otherwise its something else.
