Hey guys I have a 96 disco with the cd changer under the passenger seat. I can load the cds and get the headunit(factory) to say cd and i can select a cd but thats it. Nothing plays out of the speakers and i cannot select a track. anyone know the problem?

 

Ok, this may seem like a dumb response but something similar happened to me first time I went to use our CD changer. After goofing around for 45 minutes I discovered I had the CD's in upside down in the cartridge. If I remember right they go in shiny side up ...which is counter-intuitive to what one would normally think. Other than that, hard to say. Can you hear the changer 'hunting' to find a track?

 

hmm that "dumb response" might be my solution haha ill go give that a try and yes it sounds as though its searching
