Default CD player (factory)

Hello, my 2004 Discovery SE cd player keeps saying: "no disc" even after I have cleaned the cartridge and put all new (not burned) discs. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Is it a single play or the 6 pack changer under the passenger seat? The 6 changers sometimes go wrong!

Check the plug to it under the seat first and spray the contacts with electrical contact spray. If this doesn't work then remover the six player and have a hifi store who is familiar with this type of kit take a look at it. These 6 stack players do go wrong from time to time as they are, like all the hifi in the truck, susceptible to dust and damp. Generally they are reliable and mines still working OK after 12 years but I'm into the second Becker satnav/CD/radio head.

Unfortunately they die after a while, mine did. Contact Paul Grant(paulgrant@mac.com) I got one from him that he pulled from a D2 he was parting out. Great price, still works like a champ.
If you dont want to go down that road, I found that if I pushed on the six disc magazine while the system was going thru the checks, the magazine would properly seat and would cycle thru the disc check and then play them. All the discs are ones that I burned so that is not an issue for me.
