Anyone have any suggestions for getting a CD out that's stuck in the player in 2000 Discovery?

 

Is the disc stuck in the magazine or in the player?
If the magazine is stuck, push in on the mag while pressing the eject button. Should pop out.
If disc is stuck, remove all other discs from the magazine. Turn on player and let it run the testing cycle. Might kick it out. Try first thing again without any discs in player.
Had that a bunch of times. Takes patience and some times an extra pair of hands to turn radio on.

 

Not wishing to 'jump' this thread but my satnav disc has been stuck in my player head and nothing seems to get it out, is there some 'trick' to removing it?

Off Road, not sure how to get disc out for you. Only thing I can think of is to pop player out, leaving all wiring connected, turn upside down and try to eject.

 

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago when the player wouldn't load a CD. At the suggestion of someone here, I took out the passenger seat and disconnected and removed the player. Taking off the top cover, I found a few years of crud had stuck the disc-change mechanism. A little cleanup and reinstallation solved the problem.

 

There is no need at all to take the seat out to get the CD unit out!! Disconnect the wires going to player, and take the nuts off the 4 bolts holding player. Come at it from the back side. Takes 5 minutes.
