CDL For 2000 Disco
I was just curious for those more familiar with the CDL functions on the 2000 Disco. Last time I was troubleshooting a vibration issue I had dropped the front shaft and manually locked up the transfer case. Im not sure of the specific relation to tranfer diff locked up and its effect on the ABS system functions. When its locked up manually the three amigos say hi. What I would like to know about this condition is first, if it is normal on this yr truck, second if when the lights are on do they keep the ABS and Traction controll, HDC from working they way they are supposed to if i want to take the truck out in the woods for an afternoon and feel it would be better to have the center diff locked for help in the mud.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If, when the CDL is locked, you turn off the engine and restart it, the 3 Amigo's will come on because the computer is confused. When ever you replace the drive shaft and disengage the CDL, the next time you restart your engine the lights will go off.
Well just to be clear im talking about locking the diff with the front driveshaft in. So the confusion causes the lights to illuminate, easy enough. Outside if the lamps on, will the ABS system function as designed?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
like Mike said, if the cdl is engaged when you start the truck it will illuminate the three amigos. None of those features will work. If you want them to work engage the cdl WITH THE TRUCK RUNNING. There are other ways to make it work all the time - just do a search.
