Hi guys what is the cdl on the disco that I'm hearing about
Mine is an 02 what does that mean to me

Center Differential Lock. You don't have it. Up until 2001 had the mechanism in the transfercase. 02-03 did had nothing. 2004 had mechanism and the shifter. All disco 1s had it.

If you want it search car-part.com for a 99-00(half of the 01's had it too) transfer case(125-350) and a 2004 CDL lever(~100)... you can also use a D1 lever for a bit cheaper.

If you didn't know what it is more than likely you don't need it.

Imo it isn't necessary unless you go off roading above the mild level(lifting a wheel here and there).
